What is a Food Allergy?
Food allergies happen when the immune system reacts to a substance, which is usually in food. Typically, the immune system goes into gear when it detects a harmful substance. It does that by making antibodies. When someone has a food allergy, their immune system identifies a specific protein as harmful & makes antibodies to fight it off. These results cause allergy in various symptoms, including skin rashes and breathing problems.
